ENJOY BETTER SLEEP IN EIGHT WEEKS
Getting quality sleep improves your physical and mental well-being. Join the Good Night, Sleep Right Challenge and form habits that encourage better rest. Over eight weeks, you'll complete simple tasks such as limiting screen time before bed, creating a sleep-friendly environment or setting time aside to relax or exercise, to improve your sleep quality.
Register on the MHealthy Portal. Logging starts March 20. Open to active, benefits-eligible faculty and staff.

IT'S NUTRITION MONTH!
In March (and year-round), access programs and resources to help you make informed food choices and develop sound eating habits. Sign up for virtual cooking classes, browse through more than 300 online recipes, watch a cooking video, and much more.
Campus vending machines and select eateries also display a labeling system to help you identify healthier options.

FREEDOM FROM SMOKING®
Quitting tobacco isn't easy—but it's easier with the right help. The American Lung Association's Freedom From Smoking® program gives you options, resources and support to quit for good.
A free, eight-week virtual session starts on April 4 from 1 – 2:30 p.m. To register, call the MHealthy Tobacco Consultation Service at (734) 998-6222. To join, you must register before the first session.

PLAN AHEAD FOR DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday, March 12. Even this small shift can affect your sleep cycle, disrupting your rest for several days. Researchers have noted sleep loss and mood disturbances and even more traffic accidents as negative effects during this transition.
These tips and resources can help you adjust in the days before and after DST.

Nearly 9 in 10 Americans feel anxious about money matters. If you find paying bills, managing debt, or saving for the future stressful, you're not alone.
April is National Financial Literacy Month, a good time to learn new skills and freshen up on money matter basics. Use these resources to boost your financial know-how.

APRIL IS DONATE LIFE MONTH
An organ donor has the potential to save up to eight lives and improve 75 more through tissue and cornea donation. April recognizes transplant recipients, those on the waitlist, donors and donor families and registered donors.
People of all ages and medical histories can join the Michigan Organ Donor Registry. To learn more about donation and its impact, Wolverines for Life will hold a webinar on March 23. Register now.

Mental and Emotional Well-being
No cost mental and emotional health resources are always available to you. Access confidential counseling services through the Faculty and Staff Counseling and Consultation Office or the Office of Counseling and Workplace Resilience. Take an online screening, join a support group or workshop or access your health plan benefits.

MHealthy Rewards
Understanding your health and well-being needs is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Check on your well-being by completing your confidential health questionnaire. In about 10 minutes, you'll see where you're thriving and what areas may need your attention. You’ll also earn a $75 reward. It's that easy!

Free Virtual Cooking Classes
Registration opens March 20 for April cooking classes. Classes will focus on creating delicious protein-packed meatless meals. You'll also have an opportunity to cook along with the chef in real-time and get cost- and time-saving tips. Register for one or both classes. Sign up to be notified when registration opens.

Nourish Your Whole Self
Based on the concept of intuitive eating, this free 12-week program helps you tune into yourself to make choices that support you feeling nourished. MHealthy coaches offer guidance on eating mindfully, being kind to yourself and being thankful for your body. Sign up to be notified when registration reopens on April 3.
