From the Chief Health Officer's Desk
A new year is upon us. If your goals include combating the winter blues or increasing your physical activity, you can still sign up for MHealthy's in-person classes. Be sure to also visit the newly launched MiVideo library for free physical activity classes you can do on your own time. Many employees take advantage of a Rec Sports membership, which includes access to all three recreation facilities and the ability to purchase a Rec Sports’ Group-X pass, which offers over 70 group exercise classes per week.
It is not too late to get your flu or COVID-19 vaccinations. We are seeing an increase in respiratory illnesses in our community right now so do not delay receiving these important protections. There is no copay for U-M health plan members when you receive these vaccines at a network provider or retail pharmacy. As a reminder, if you test positive for COVID-19, OHS offers guidance on what to do.
And as we continue our journey towards becoming a health-promoting university, I invite everyone to participate in our Well-being Influencer Tour. Stop by in person or share your thoughts through a forthcoming virtual option. This feedback will inform the common agenda guiding the work of our Well-being Collective.
