Welcome to MHealthy Living! Supporting U-M faculty and staff's health and well-being

From the Chief Health Officer's Desk
Last month, our university made major strides in our commitment to well-being, first with the announcement of Vision 2034. I am thrilled that this long-term vision for U-M and its reach specifically highlights human health and well-being as one of four impact areas.
We also established the Common Agenda for Well-being following over eighteen months of community input and stakeholder engagement. The agenda will serve as a guiding light for improving wellness for faculty, staff and students on our campus through systems and policies under the leadership of the Well-being Collective.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. In addition to the many offerings from MHealthy (learn more below), Michigan Medicine's Department of Psychiatry is hosting a number of events to promote awareness and understanding of mental illnesses and related supports. I encourage everyone to take some time to learn more.
As summer approaches, if you will be traveling internationally, be sure to register your trips. Also consider travel abroad health insurance, which is very affordable and available for both university and personal travel. And if you are staying local, check out the Michigan app which features Nature Rx, an inventory of quiet and peaceful green spaces around campus with accessibility descriptions.
