From the Chief Health Officer's Desk
The Well-being Collective has released updated definitions of the eight dimensions of well-being, as well as accessible versions of the Model of Well-being graphic. This work came out of community input and feedback from university experts, including the team at MHealthy. We, as humans, are complicated and there are multiple aspects to our well-being. Having a shared language around this complexity is a critical part of being a health-promoting campus.
The UHR Well-being at U-M webpage has been updated to reflect the new definitions and will continue to highlight health and well-being programs and resources available to the faculty and staff community. I hope you will take the time to review these resources and how they apply to your health and wellness.
You might pay particular attention to the dimension of mental well-being this month: May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Learn more below and find ways to enhance your mental health this spring.
